Professor Magnus Evertsson is one of the world's leading experts in crushing technology, with more than three decades of experience spanning crusher design, modelling, optimisation, control, and industrial implementation. His research and innovation have significantly advanced the understanding of crushing processes and the development of modern cone crusher technology, influencing operations across the mining and aggregates industries worldwide.
As the Founder and Chairman of Roctim AB, Magnus has played a pivotal role in bridging academic research and industrial application. Under his leadership, Roctim has developed advanced technologies and methodologies for crusher control, process optimisation, simulation, performance analysis, and digital decision support, helping customers improve productivity, product quality, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
Magnus is currently a Professor of Machine Elements at Chalmers University of Technology, where he has led groundbreaking research in rock processing and comminution systems. He has established an extensive international network of academic and industrial collaborations and has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications on crushing technology, process modelling, machine design, and optimisation.
He holds a PhD in Machine and Vehicle Design (Chalmers University of Technology, 2000), a Licentiate of Engineering in Machine and Vehicle Design (1997), and a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering (1993), all from Chalmers University of Technology.
Throughout his career, Magnus has held several key positions, including Head of the Machine Elements Group at Chalmers University of Technology (2003-2020), Rock Processing Specialist in Crushing Technology at Sandvik Mining (2000-2010), and Construction and Process Development Specialist at Sabema Material AB (1997-2000). His unique combination of industrial experience, scientific excellence, and entrepreneurial leadership continues to drive innovation in crushing and screening technology, making him a recognized authority in the global minerals and aggregates sector.
